This one of a kind tour of Scotland features Scotland’s natural beauty, wonderful people, storied history, fairy tale castles…and some of the best beers and whiskies in the world. The tour will take us from historic Edinburgh to the Scottish Borders and to the longest inhabited house in Scotland (which happens to have a brewery).
We’ll visit the highlands and see castles, both inhabited and in ruins. We’ll visit historic battlefields, pristine lochs, ancestral lands of legendary clans and we’ll cruise the waters of legendary monsters.
Picture visiting a storied fishing village where the main street is lined with palm trees. From there, we’ll take the road over the sea to Skye and back again after exploring this beautiful and magical island.
We’ll travel leisurely along the west coast of Scotland viewing gorgeous scenery while off the beaten track before we take the ferry to the Isle of Mull where we’ll stay in the painted harbor town of Tobermory.
After exploring Mull, our tour will take us to Iona, where we’ll seemingly step back in time to the ancient war ravished, Christian community and the final resting place of kings.
Weather permitting, a boat trip will be in order as we journey on to the uninhabited, basalt columned isle of Staffa which was once purchased by an American as a gift to his bride before being donated to the Scotland trust.
Returning to the mainland, our Journey will return us to the highlands, and to the shores of the legendary Loch Lomond before making our way back to Edinburgh as we bid farewell to this beautiful country and our new friends.
Throughout our journey, we’ll stop at places where the famed, and sometimes very unique beers are either produced or served in the glowing warmth of country pubs.
We’ll visit unique distilleries and meet the masters of the trades and we’ll have dinners created especially for us pairing the ales with the local cuisine.
Our tour will be guided by a lifelong resident of Scotland while area specific guides will join us for in depth descriptions of historical points of interest.
